#8 – Human Beings

Good morning wonderfully created human beings.

Someone once said we were created as human beings; not human doings. A human being relates to who we are and a human doing relates to what we do. Many Christians are bound by the belief that the more they do the more they are accepted. This often leads to bondage, stress and a sense of rejection rather than freedom, peace and a sense of acceptance. Should we be busy? Well the Bible is clear from Proverbs that we should not be idle but I’m not sure it advocates busyness as a way of life and definitely not as a way of acceptance. Joyce Meyer said it best when she said “we are called to be fruitful; not busy’.

Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour; and allow Him to be both; we can rest in whose we are as well as who we are. We belong to Christ and the fullness of God dwells in us! Oh to have a revelation today that ‘it’s no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me!’ This happens positionally before it happens experientially. Today some of us need to accept what God has already done for us, accept it and walk forward in it rather than try and work harder to please God. Remember Jesus was commended by the Father publicly before He had done any ministry.
