Good morning people who have a heavenly view of the ascended Christ.

Colossians 3:1 NIV Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Yesterday, we talked about the spiritual reality of having died with Christ. Today, Paul continues with this beautiful truth:

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ.

Naturally, death is the end. Spiritually, death is the beginning! In Christ, life comes after death!

Once we are born again, there is a holy injunction for us to turn our hearts heavenward.

Set your hearts on things above.

The good old KJV says seek those things above. The word seek means to worship God, to seek in order to find. In other words, it is a heart posture and pursuit that is Godward with the focus of knowing God more. God has always been a God of hearts.

Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Christ Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. Yes, He is living in our hearts (Galatians 2:20) through the Person of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), but He is ruling and reigning from His throne in heaven!

Jesus is seated because He rightfully declared, “It is finished!” This needs to get our attention more! The price has been paid, the victory has been won, and we are legally heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).

Let’s seek and worship the resurrected and exalted King today!
