Good morning people who are positioned in God to walk in divine purpose and calling.
Luke 4:13 NIV When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
It is important to understand kairos moments.
The phrase an opportune time comes from the Greek word kairos which means an occasion that is set or proper time. Lord, please speak to us.
There is the ticking of a clock, and this is chronos time. But what is much more powerful is kairos times, otherwise known as seasons.
Here’s the big picture main point that Father wants us to see today:
There is always a purpose for every kairos time.
Nothing is wasted in God. No moment is superfluous or redundant. Every minute matters, and it is imperative as followers of Jesus to understand what God is doing in every moment. We need spiritual eyes to understand kairos times.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
The lame man who was healed in Acts 3:1-10 was sitting at the temple gate called Beautiful. The word beautiful in this scripture means belonging to the right hour or season (timely). It was a kairos moment for this man, one that most people walked past on their way to the temple, and yet Peter and John had eyes to see and they stopped. Healing and freedom was the result!
It’s interesting that the devil finished tempting Jesus until another kairos moment. I would have thought that kairos moments were only in God. But we must see this verse through the lens of the whole Word of God, and here’s what I feel Father is saying:
Even when the enemy thinks it’s a kairos moment for evil, God is greater and He always has a higher plan and purpose for the same kairos moment!
I feel we must continue to lean into this tomorrow. Hurry back!
