Good morning people who do your part to set your children up to walk in God’s favour.
Deuteronomy 12:28 NKJV Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.
This is a glorious promise in the Word of God! And yet I know that grief can be the experience for many who are not seeing the fulfilment of this in your own family.
So, what do we do with this?
Firstly, we elevate God’s Word above our experience. Theology is not subject to our experiences. What we see or don’t see does not determine who God is or who God isn’t.
Secondly, we come into agreement with the truth and declare the promises of God as if it is already done in the natural. This is called faith and this pleases God.
Thirdly, we set our hearts to do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord our God, knowing that this honours God, and it also increases the potential for our children to walk in God’s ways.
I am thinking about a parallel promise of ‘lay hands on the sick and they shall recover; (Mark 16:17-18).
Am I seeing every person I lay my hands on completely healed right here and now?
No.
But do I see more people healed than if I didn’t lay my hands on and pray for anyone who was sick?
Absolutely!
Let’s put God first and let’s believe for all of our children to walk in the ways of God all the days of their lives.
