Good morning people who are protected by God

Matthew 4:5-7 Then the devil took Him to the holy city and had Him stand on the hightest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “’He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

Satan’s second attack was in the area of protection. In essence, Satan was taunting Jesus by using Scripture to see if Jesus trusted the Father to protect Him.

Do we trust that God is looking after us? Do we trust that God is our ‘refuge and very present help in time of need’? Do we believe that God can look after us and protect us?

The enemy would like to cause us to doubt God’s ability to protect us. Satan offers ‘security’ and calls it protection. He offers people security in relationships, careers, sports, drugs, alcohol and many other ‘comforting’ things that do not protect us at all. But this is simply a false security that is not the protection that our God offers.

The greatest thing we can do is to give ourselves fully to God and trust Him completely. He is our protection; our rock, our refuge and our hiding place.
