Good morning people who live to glorify your Father in heaven.
John 17:1 NIV After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.”
Jesus asked to be glorified for only one reason: So that His Father may be glorified through Him.
Our lives exist for the glory of God.
Oh this is simple to type, but it’s not as easy to live.
Nothing about our lives is to end with us receiving glory. Nothing.
It’s not about us being seen, being applauded, or being recognised.
It’s not about us being promoted, being blessed, or being praised.
James 1:17-18 NIV Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
Everything good comes from the Father in heaven.
And every good thing given to us is so that the Father can be seen as the good Father that He is.
It’s all about the glory of God the Father.
