Good morning people who trust the timing of God as He leads you forward.

John 17:1 NIV After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.”

‘Father, the hour has come.’

This is a statement about timing.

Jesus did not set the timing for when He would come to earth. His Father did.

Jesus did not set the timing for when He would start ministry. His Father did.

Jesus did not set the timing for when He would go to the cross. His Father did.

Jesus has not set the timing for when He will come again. His Father has.

Timing is set by the Father. It was true for Jesus, and it is true for us as His followers.

Galatians 5:25 NIV Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Keeping in step with the Holy Spirit is not just about direction, it is also about pace. Think about this.

We are not keeping in step with the Spirit if we are going twice as fast as Him, even if we are going in the same direction. Timing matters.

And the Spirit leads us in the direction and at the pace that the Father has set for us.

God wants us to trust His timing, as well as His will.
