Good morning people who God loves with a deep passion
There is a shift happening in the Church and in many individual lives at the moment. This is a season that seems dark to many and ‘challenging’ is a nice way to describe it. I listened to a great message by Lynn Moresi from CityLife Church recently that I believe accurately sums up how many are feeling and also points to what is happening in The Church in this season. I was praying for a friend the other day that is processing some challenges that he is facing in life. Maybe you too are processing some things in what seems to be a difficult time for many.
I felt to pray three things for him and I pray them for you and I also.
May God bring revelation to our hearts. We don’t simply want the wisdom of man but we want to, and need to, have the Holy Spirit bring revelation of the truth to us. May we have the mind of Christ.
May God bring refreshing to our whole being. Oh how we need God to come and do what only He can do. I pray we find rest in Him and be refreshed by His wonderful presence. May it be like crystal clear water to our thirsty souls.
May God refine us. Refining speaks about purifying and getting rid of all contamination. This is something that all too often I have tried to do in my own life but I am becoming more aware that it is God who has done this for me. That’s right; He has done it already at the cross of Calvary where He finished the work. I need to receive what He has done more and not try so much in my own strength. I want to become more like Jesus but I want it to be a refining work of the Holy Spirit.
