#185 – Energy Needed

Happy New Year wonderful children of God!

It is the start of a new year and for most it is a time of reflection. Maybe the following is how you feel.

“Is 2009 going to be any better than 2008? Last year was so tough I’m not sure I can go through another year the same? Maybe I should give up before I start or at least lower expectations, after-all if they are low at least I won’t be disappointed.”

I want to encourage all of us today and speak hope and life into our spirits. This is a year that God can do exceedingly more than we could ever ask or think!!!

Fred Smith says “The energy needed to retreat might have been just the amount needed to succeed.”

Don’t give up! Don’t retreat because this statement might just be true for you. It takes energy to give up; it may be a different kind of energy, an emotional energy, but it is still energy.

Here’s a powerful scripture that I pray keeps and strengthens us all in this coming year.

Romans 8:28-39 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all
