Good morning people who respond to Father’s leading in our everyday lives

John 15:16 NIV You (Believers) did not choose Me (Jesus), but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in My name the Father will give you.

Today is a good day to remind us all of a truth that I have spoken on many times, and that is:

God is always the Initiator.

The fact that we are saved is not because we first reached out to God. No, He reached out to us, revealed truth to us, and we simply responded to His invitation.

When it comes to the call of God and the gifts of God, again, we didn’t choose what we wanted. God chose us, and God appointed us. God initiated us into existence, and He gifted and graced us as He willed it to be.

God’s desire and plan is for us to produce fruit that is lasting. This can only happen if we are doing what Father has initiated for us to do. Doing ‘our own thing’ might result in success in the world’s eyes, but it will be worthless in the eyes of God.

In fact, both fruitfulness and answered prayers originate from God, not from us. Father answers prayers that are in keeping with His will; what He desires us to do and what He has said in His Word.

I believe with all of my heart that God wants you to be more fruitful than ever before. I also believe that He wants to answer your prayers more than ever before. Both can only happen if He continually lives as the Initiator in our everyday lives. This is our choice.
