Good morning people who discipline themselves to do the right thing

Acts 24:16 (NIV) So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

It is possible to honour God and honour people at the same time – doing the right thing by God and people is not incompatible.

But it doesn’t happen automatically or accidentally. Doing the right thing by God and people is intentional.

This verse says, ‘I strive always to keep my conscience clear’.

This word ‘strive’ is not talking about living under the law. Rather it is talking about exercising and training yourself. In other words, it takes disciplined effort to live a God-honouring and people-honouring life.
