Good morning people of God who honour Father from a pure heart

Acts 1:24-25 (NIV) 24 Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen 25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.”

God chooses people because of their hearts, not because of their skills or talents.

One of the reasons for this is that God is the One Who gave people their skills and talents. Just think about this. We are often impressed by what people can do, and therefore, appoint them to positions. God’s not impressed by our skill and talents – He gave them to us in the first place!

Our hearts matter – and it’s our hearts that should be the reason for our appointment to what Father wants us to do.

I want to encourage all leaders today to focus on people’s hearts: to commend people for their heart attitudes, not just their skills and talents.

I also want to encourage those who have the responsibility to appoint leaders to positions to make it a ‘heart appointment’.
