#263 – Love’s Face

Good morning grace-filled people

One of my struggles in life is with being judgemental of others that don’t live up to my idea of what is right. There are several major problems with this:

1. I am far from perfect myself which therefore makes it hypocritical; it’s often ‘spiritual’ pride which judges others (which isn’t actually spiritual at all)

2. It’s not about what I think but about what God thinks and He looks at the heart of a person which I cannot see

3. It is opposite to God’s response even if the heart is wrong; God’s heart is grace and a kindness that leads to repentance

A very good friend of mine shared this quote with me some time ago and it has stuck in my mind. Meditate on this for a few minutes.

“Grace is the face love wears when it meets imperfection”.

Oh how thankful I am that God extends to all of us a call to holiness with a provision of grace as we are on that journey. I need to be more grace-filled to others; I need to love enough to extend grace no matter what. How about you?
