Good morning people who point others to our loving God
Luke 1:76-79 (NIV) And you, My child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for Him, to give His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.
This is John the Baptist’s job description spoken prophetically through his father Zechariah. I think it is a great invitation for all of us.
Firstly, this paints an accurate and a wonderful picture of our incredible God. He really is the Most High God; there is no one like Him! Our God loves to forgive people and set them free! He is full of tender mercies and loving kindness! He loves to shine on people who are in darkness and guide them into a place of peace! How good is our God!!!
Secondly, it directs us to our important privilege of pointing people to God. We can’t perform the supernatural, draw people to God or change people’s lives…but God can and He loves to reveal Himself as we point people to Him.
So today, let’s point the way to God with our speech, life, faith and love.
P.S. There are only two days to go before the early bird price finishes for the 3 day open course of Leaders of Destiny with my Dad, David McCracken. This is honestly life-changing and I encourage you to invest in your future. All details here http://bit.ly/11RwlYI
