#197 – Creative Alternatives

Good morning creative people

Daniel 1:11-14 Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.” So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.

With all my heart I pray we all understand the power of the principle in these verses; it could change your life.

Many times we hear “no” and valid reasons why we can’t change the situation and then give up. Daniel gave a creative alternative and asked to be judged on the fruit at the end of ten days. This is powerful!

If you are in a situation, be it work, marriage or Church, that demands time or other specific things that you are finding too much or detrimental to God’s best for you, don’t give up and don’t speak or act disrespectfully! It’s time to think creatively and allow the fruit to be judged. Maybe you could ask for your hours to be cut down so you can spend more time with God, but ask them to judge whether your output and productivity changes. Your situation may be completely different. You feel to do something and your request has been met with a “no”, maybe at Church, in a relationship or at school. Is there a creative alternative that you could respectfully submit with the request to have the fruit judged? Maybe God will move on your behalf and give you favour. The bottom line is “Don’t give up!” Be creative; come up with a creative alternative and allow the fruit to be judged.
