#196 – Final Answer

Good morning favoured of the Lord

Daniel 1:9-10 Now God had caused the official to show favour and sympathy to Daniel, but the official told Daniel, “I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of you.”

In these verses we see God had moved the official’s heart to be favourable to Daniel. God can do this for you to. Do you believe that? We must walk in step with God and focus on a vibrant daily relationship. Our hearts should be to hear God clearly and obey Him boldly. I believe God delights to move on behalf of those whose hearts are fully towards Him. How is your heart? How is your respect for God and others?

Yet even though there was favour from God, the official said Daniel’s idea was not a good one. Stop and think about this for a minute. The official’s reason was very valid and understandable. This decision could cost him his life! People who have authority over you also have consequences for their actions. Many times there are deadlines to meet, quotas to be filled and superiors to keep happy. We need to step back at times and look at the big picture.

Tomorrow I want t share a key from the next couple of verses that is one of the most powerful keys to see change in our situations.

For today I want to say “no” does not have o be the final answer but we must act with honour and respect. May God help us all to serve faithfully today.
