Good morning respectful people of God

Daniel 1:8 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

Too many times Christians speak arrogantly because “I know I am right.” Sometimes this happens in people’s work situations, marriages and Church life. I believe Daniel showed us a better way; a more godly way.

In short, Daniel resolved something due to conscience and conviction, but then he respectfully asked if he could do it. As we look at this further tomorrow, I want to bring out something that may help you in your situation if you feel to do something different than instructed. Maybe you feel you are overloaded with work and you don’t get enough time with God. Maybe you ‘know’ you would function better if you worked less and spent more time in prayer and the Word. I believe there is a key from this story that may make a difference to you.

For today our focus is that all things can be done respectfully. Being right is not a reason to be rude. Respectfully I say that some of you need to read the last sentence again. Christians should be the most respectful people who value others because God created them and loves them.
