Good morning people who care
James 5:19-20 My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
My heart is stirring right now. It is time for believers to get involved in each other’s lives; not from a place of interference and dominating, but from a scriptural command of caring and restoring. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation the Bible says yet too many times we don’t get involved. Many times there are reasonable reasons for that; we don’t want to be misunderstood, we don’t want to control or interfere, we’re aware of our own faults or we don’t want to rock the boat. These are reasonable reasons but it’s not what the Bible says. We are potentially talking about spiritual life and death here and we must get involved. A parent who sees their child going down a destructive path should love enough to speak up, they must do it in the right way but to not warn of danger is not love but negligence. Church we must do the same! Get involved, love enough to make yourself uncomfortable and always do it from a place of gentleness and awareness of your own faults. We share the journey as ones on the journey, not as superior people.
Now the Bible is clear that we must be careful not to point out things to others and become shipwrecked ourselves. We must not be hypocritical but we should get involved. Don’t shy away from this but rather step up watching your own life and walking in personal integrity and then love others enough to get involved. Don’t disqualify yourself; change yourself so that you can help others. The Bible says the mature should help others; well keep growing! Let’s continue this journey together; let’s get involved.
