#94 – What you believe

Good morning Bible believing people

What you believe about the Bible determines what you receive from God’s Word. What you receive determines what you do.

The authority of the Bible is under threat today both in the world and in the Church. People are saying it is irrelevant and some even say it is just not practical for living today. The precious Word of God is not just a good book, a book of suggestions or one authority among many. The Bible is absolute authority and truth; it is infallible. God’s Word also contains God’s intention and desire for our lives. Do you believe this? Do you live according to this as an unshakeable conviction? If this is not settled in concrete, we stand on shaky ground.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed (inspired) and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

This passage talks about how I walk (daily decisions). Lamp: candle, a light, to glisten Feet: a step.

This passage also talks about where we walk (the big picture). Light: Illumination, lightning, bright, daylight, sun Path: a beaten track, path, travel, a way

It all starts with what you believe about the Word of God. What authority does the Word have in your life?
