#6543 – Uncontainable God

Good morning people whose God is infinitely bigger than your wildest imagination.

Our God is uncontainable!

The word uncontainable means very strong, not possible to contain.

Not possible to contain means not possible to contain! I know that is deep, but we need this truth to sink in today.

Human measurements and limitations don’t apply to God!

Ephesians 3:19-20 NIV And to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

God surpasses our knowledge. Yes, we can know Him through revelation, but we don’t know Him fully; we can’t know Him fully here and now!

God’s power is without limit. I am reminded of the children’s song from many years ago. It went something like this:

My God is so big, so strong, and so mighty, there’s nothing my God cannot do!

Do you believe this with all of your heart, or do you put limitations on your God?

I’m reminded of Lazarus. Here was a man who had been dead for four days. Now, that’s dead! This is past the point of no return. This is most definitely in the realm of impossible…

BUT GOD!

John 11:41-44 NIV So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Our God is indescribable, unmistakable and uncontainable, and when He moves, it’s not just another day!
