Good morning people who allow God to do His work through your life.
Exodus 4:20-21 NIV So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey and started back to Egypt. And he took the staff of God in his hand. The Lord said to Moses, “When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go.
We all know that nothing is impossible to God (Luke 1:37). We believe that God can do everything that He desires to do.
But do we believe that WE can do everything that God has given us to do?
Please read God’s instruction to Moses again:
The Lord said to Moses, “When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do.”
God said to Moses that he (Moses) was going to perform all the wonders.
I don’t want to split hairs here, nor do I want to mishandle the Word of God. But here’s what I feel to say:
Firstly, every miracle is done by God, not by us. Secondly, many miracles are done by us through the power of God.
These are not contradicting statements – they are complementary statements. God does miracles, and more often that not, He chooses to do them through people. This is God’s way!
I feel it is important to tie today’s BIY into yesterday’s. Moses could perform all of the wonders because he obeyed God and used the staff of God. When we honour God and do things His way and for His glory, then nothing God authors is impossible – including all that He wants us to do!
