Good morning wonderful God-honouring people

I believe God deserves to be honoured by our lives. I want to honour Him every moment of every day. I also believe that because you are reading this, you too want to bring honour to God with your life. But we must be honest with each other; there are many times that we do not bring honour to God. It might be with an inappropriate thought or motivation, something we say or don’t say, something we do or don’t do; it could be simply relying on ourselves and not on God fully. This list could continue but you and I know the things in our lives that dishonour God.

So what do we do about this and how do we ensure we bring honour to God?

Firstly, if there is something in your life today that you know is dishonouring to God; please stop, ask God’s forgiveness and turn away from it. This is true repentance. With God’s strength you are able.

Secondly, live life with God on a moment by moment basis. Don’t allocate a God-time part of your day and then get on with life. Include Him in all that you do and ensure all that you do is in accordance with His will. You will know this by knowing what His Word says and by cultivating a continual listening ear to the Holy Spirit’s voice. For those starting off in this, it is often like your conscience speaking. If your heart is truly surrendered to God and you are listening; He will make His will clear.

Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
