Good morning people who make going to God for wisdom your first priority.
Proverbs 8:3 MEV She (wisdom) cries out at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors.
Proverbs 8:17 MEV I (wisdom) love those who love me, and those who seek me early will find me.
Seeking wisdom should not be our last resort, but our first priority. It is imperative that we know the ways of God.
In these verses above, it is the following words and phrases that speak to me: at the gates, at the entry of the city, and the entrance of the doors, and those who seek me early will find me.
All of this language is talking about wisdom being our entry point and our starting point.
What would happen to a city if the people of the city sought the wisdom of God as their first port of call and as their highest authority?
What would happen in our lives if we sought the wisdom of God early in every decision-making process and fully submitted to the council of God?
I find that many people read books, seek counsel and try options before going directly to the source of wisdom. I’m not against these things, but it is about where our confidence lies. It is about who is ordering our steps. It is about who we trust.
Do you need wisdom today?
Go to God first.
