#5664 – Reclaiming Christ

Good morning people who never lose sight of the beauty and power of Jesus.

How central is Christ in your vision today? How about throughout your day?

If we are going to run this race of life well and have maximum eternal fruit from our lives, it is essential that Christ remains at the center of everything.

Accepting Jesus is the most important first step on this journey of faith. But we must not stop at the first step. It is true that we cannot add to who Jesus is or to accepting Him, but the day of our acceptance is the open door into endless and deepening intimacy with the Son of God!

Life will have challenges, distractions and disappointments. We will have days when we miss the mark, and questions can seem more common than answers. But these days and these moments do not have the power to cancel Christ from our lives!

There is a very well-known scripture that comes to mind as I meditate on this truth about reclaiming Christ:

Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Fixing our eyes on Jesus is the key to a successful and fruitful day. It does not remove every problem and the outcomes of what we are going through may not be what we believe for. But it is in reclaiming Christ to the central and most prominent place in our vision that we will end up at the destination that Father has prepared for us.

I declare: It’s time for reclaiming Christ as the supreme King and Lord of every part of our life.
