Good morning people who are brought together through the body of Christ.
The following scripture is a little longer than I normally post, but I feel it is important that you read all the verses before we start to dive into the depths of God’s truth contained in them.
Ephesians 2:14-18 NIV For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
I want to start with the big picture of what God is saying through the revelatory writings of Paul. And then, over the coming days, we might lean into some specifics a little more. There is just so much in God’s Word to unpack and discover through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation!
God the Father’s desire is relationship with every person that He has created. There are no exceptions. Never forget the following scripture:
2 Peter 3:9 NIV The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Everyone means everyone! The worst of the worst have always been on the Father’s heart for relationship. It might insult our senses of decency, and that in part is why it is wonderful that we are not God!
Jesus Christ made a way for every person to step through the doors of brokenness into the reality of wholeness in God.
May our heart join with the Father’s heart as we speak life over and pray for every person.
May our enemies find God’s love as much as our closest friends as we stand in the gap for them through prayer and intercession.
I declare: These are days of a great harvest of souls into the kingdom of God!
And we all say, “YES LORD!”
