Good morning people who live alive in God because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:2 NIV Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The word ‘Lord’ when referring to Jesus means ‘supreme in authority.’

The name ‘Jesus’ means ‘Jehovah is salvation.’ It comes from words that declare ‘Yhwh-saved.’ And this finds its origin in ‘the self-existent or eternal; name of God.’

Jesus came as the self-existent and eternal God, and He came to deliver us from the power of the enemy and return us to right standing with God. This is Jesus!

And yet He was willing to accomplish all of this by humbling Himself to the very ones whom He had created. This is the ultimate act of sacrifice and love.

Philippians 2:5-8 NIV In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

The reality is, we can read these words quite quickly and say, “Yes, I know what Jesus did for us.” But the truth is, it is literally impossible for us to imagine and understand what this meant for the God of heaven and earth! Oh, that we might have a little revelation into this today.

This is our King Jesus! This is what He did for you and for me!
