Good morning people who enter into the deeper realities of God.
John 3:13 NKJV “No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.”
We know that Jesus came from heaven to earth. As a Son, He was given, and as a child, He was born (Isaiah 9:6).
But while He lived on earth, He continued to live from heaven to earth. (I don’t want to blow your mind today, but I do want to enlarge your thinking to spiritual minded thinking).
This verse said that no one has ascended to heaven. It doesn’t just say that Jesus came down from heaven, it says ‘He ascended to heaven, and it also says the Son of Man who is in heaven. (He said this while speaking to people on the earth).
When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, Jesus instructed them to talk to our Father who is in heaven. This is not about having a long distance conversation.
How do I know this?
Because of scriptures like Hebrews 4:16 (come boldly before God’s throne of grace) and Ephesians 2:6 (we are seated with Christ in heavenly places).
If your first and foremost response is to think that this is not a physical reality, then I challenge you – and myself – that this is the incorrect way of meditating on this. We cannot understand spiritual realities through natural minds. We must be in the Spirit.
The spiritual reality – not metaphoric or symbolic, but a spiritual reality – is Jesus descended from heaven, and then ascended to heaven and was in heaven, while He was on the earth. The spiritual reality was His greater reality. He literally lived and ministered from heaven to earth.
We are called to do the same.
