Good morning people who never devalue the greatest gift of eternal life.

The disciples came back from their first ministry trip rejoicing that the demons were subject to them in the name (the nature and authority) of Jesus.

Jesus affirms that this is indeed true, but then He shifts the focus and establishes the greater truth that needs to stay in the forefront of our vision. Here it is:

Luke 10:20 NIV “However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

I believe Father wants to keep this very simple and clear today.

Eternal life that is found in Jesus Christ is the greatest cause for celebration!

Everything else is an incredible benefit, including the demons being subject to us, but eternal life is the most important reality in our lives.

As I type this, I hear the Father say that this should cause celebration and gratitude in our hearts to Him. I totally agree.

After David had experienced much – both high highs and extremely low lows – he uttered these well-known words.

Psalms 51:12 NIV “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

This truth remains for us today.
