Good morning people whose God is infinitely bigger than any demon or the devil.

I’m sure I have your attention by my greeting line. So, let me lean into what I believe is on the Father’s heart for every one of His sons and daughters.

The devil and every demon in hell has been defeated by our Lord Jesus Christ! And the good news does not stop there!

James puts it very clearly and accurately in this verse:

James 4:7 NIV Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The devil himself is no match for a blood-bought, fully-submitted son or daughter of our Father in heaven!

Yet so often, we are scared of demonic activity. There have been too many times when I have been intimidated by demonic activity. Fear and anxiety starts to ramp up, and my view is distorted as I consider myself inadequate to deal with it.

But this is not the truth for me and it is not the truth for you!

Here’s what I feel to say:

Don’t shrink back from demonic activity, but rather, confront it and overcome it with targeted spiritual warfare.

With just a word, Jesus took authority over all demonic activity. As His delegated authority on earth, we too have been given the same power of God in the person of the Holy Spirit!

Luke 10:18-19 NIV He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
