Good morning people who don’t give up on doing what is right in the eyes of God.
Psalms 119:5-6 NIV Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
Ongoing obedience pleases God.
Is our obedience conditional on results, or do we continue to obey even when we don’t see what has been promised?
The following scripture speaks powerfully into this:
Hebrews 11:13 NIV All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
All of us will have things in our lives where the lack of evidence will try to convince us that God is not faithful to what He said. This is inevitable, and it is extremely difficult in these moments (I speak from experience and present realities).
Moments of doubt will come and disappointment can knock on your door.
But where do we land, and in whom do we truly trust?
May we all remain steadfast in obeying everything that God has decreed in His Word and by His Spirit.
