#5174 – The Miracles of Jesus

Good morning people who are changed by seeing the hand of God at work.

John 15:24 NIV “If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father.”

A couple of verses earlier, Jesus told us that if people hadn’t heard His words, they would not be guilty of sin. And now He compounds this by pointing to the works – the miracles – that they saw Him do.

I don’t know if you have ever taken the time to step into the gospels yourself. Imagine being there in person as Jesus fed the five thousand from a handful of fish and bread, or when He opened the blind eyes and the deaf ears. Imagine seeing Lazarus come out of the grave after being dead for days!

I could be wrong, but I think my faith would be high in who Jesus is!

Yet many doubted and many rejected Him. People saw the signs and some drew the wrong conclusion. In fact, some even said that Jesus did His miracles through the power of the devil. Oh how wrong our conclusions can be!

Yet, on the other hand, many saw the signs and believed! Praise God!

And so, like I did when I encouraged us to speak the Word so that people have the opportunity to encounter God, I now encourage you to stir up your faith to move in signs, wonders and miracles so that God can be encountered.

These are not for yesterday alone – these are for today. Why? Because our God is a miracle-working God, and He is the same yesterday, today and forever! This is who He is!

Miracles are for today, and God is calling His children to step out in faith. It just might be what connects some people to the heart of the Father.
