Good morning people who are no longer who you used to be.

Colossians 2:13-14 NIV When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

The good news of what Jesus has done for us is even better than we can humanly comprehend!

I love the opening words ‘when you were’ in this scripture.

Paul is talking about a previous life and a previous way of living. Dead in our sins and in the uncircumcision of our flesh is how we used to live.

And it’s in this previous condition where God came to us by His Holy Spirit and made us alive with Christ Jesus! HALLELUJAH!

We are no longer sinners!

We are now saved, we are accepted, we are reconciled to God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ!

We weren’t good enough to save ourselves, and we are not good enough to sustain ourselves.

But God made us alive with Christ – now that’s good news!
