#4865 – Fully God

Good morning people who honour the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

Colossians 1:19-20 NIV For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Jesus was not just a man. His life was not reduced to just 33 years walking on this earth. The birth of Jesus was not the beginning of the Son of God.

Yes, Jesus was fully, completely man, but He most certainly was not just a man! Jesus was fully man and fully God.

To the natural mind, there is some mystery surrounding this spiritual reality. We can give metaphors and try our best to explain it. But the truth is, the fullness of who Jesus IS is far more than any human mind has ever imagined.

Jesus was the word in the beginning. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is coming back again. Jesus is a son who was given and a child who was born.

Jesus is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. He is perfect, sinless, holy, blameless, righteous. Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting.

Jesus is the exact representation to us of our Father who is in heaven.

How?

Because it pleased the Father to have all His fullness dwell in Him.

This is our God! This is our king! This is our friend! This is our Jesus!
