Good morning people who see the evidence of the goodness of God

Philippians 4:8 NIV Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Whatever is right is not talking about whatever is right in our own eyes.

Herein is one of the great woes of our time; self-righteousness; or put differently, us determining our own self-rightness.

This word right is the word just in the KJV, and it finds its origin in right (as self-evident), to show.

The only One in whom there is self-evidence of being right and just – the only One who has shown this without fault or exception – is Almighty God.

In the Old Testament, the word Lord means self-existing. It’s this same Lord and God who alone is perfectly right.

And it is He who is right that Paul tells us to continually think about.
