#4710 – Walking Forward

Good morning people who shut the door on what is not in Christ

If you are in Christ, you are positioned in victory, and it’s from this living reality that we are called, equipped and empowered to live from.

Don’t forget what I said yesterday: We have misunderstood and confused ‘natural perfection’ with ‘spiritual completion.’

Paul made many terrible mistakes before he met Christ, including consenting to the killing of Christians. This could not have been easy to move on from (I can’t imagine it).

But his revelation of the truth of his brand new, recreative, supernatural, completely new identity and position in Christ is an encouragement and an example to us all.

But it wasn’t automatic, and it also wasn’t always easy. Here’s what he said:

Philippians 3:12-14 NIV Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: What Jesus Christ has done is immeasurably more powerful than what you have done!

It’s time to shut the door on your past, and it’s time to give yourself permission to walk forward in the power and authority of Christ in you.
