#4658 – Grace and Truth

Good morning people whose lives are lived in alignment with truth

John 1:14 NIV The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Let me tell you what grace does not mean:

Grace is not a licence to do what we want, nor is it an acknowledgement that we are ok as we are. We are not! And that’s the reason we need grace!

Grace is ‘the divine influence on our heart, and its reflection in our life.” We need to understand this more.

What is the divine influence on our heart that is the first ingredient of grace?

It is truth! When God reveals something to us (the first part of grace), that is truth!! It’s not complicated my friends.

The result of this revealed truth is a change of thinking (repentance), and as a result, a change of living (transformation).

If there is a lack of truth, there will be a lack of grace. And if there is a lack of grace, there will be a lack of truth.

It’s never about balance – it’s always about fulness of grace and truth.
