#4657 – Full of Both

Good morning people who never dilute who God is and what He says

John 1:14 NIV The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

There is a lot of talk where some people favour excessive grace, while others favour excessive truth. There is an increasing gap between the two for some Christians who have had enough of a lack of grace or a lack of truth.

I believe there is a problem, but the Lord has been showing me that the answer is not what we are often pursuing or talking about.

My language (and the language of many others) has been this: “We need to find the right balance between grace and truth.” It sounds right, but God has told me that it is wrong.

Here’s what He has told me: “I want you to be full of grace and full of truth!”

This insightful, powerful and necessary verse stated above clearly tells us that Jesus Himself came from the Father, and He was and is full of grace and full of truth.

We don’t need balance – we need fulness!

We always need to be full of grace, and we always need to be full of truth.
