#465 – Reconciliation

Good morning people who desire reconciliation

John 3:17 God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

What is our initial response when someone offends us or we hear they have done the wrong thing? How about once our emotions have died down and we can give some more objective thought to the situation?

Does our mind automatically go toward judgement and condemnation or are we ones that want to see people restored? A good question to ask ourselves is “How would I like to be treated if this was me?” Perhaps a true analysis of this question would better direct our response.

God’s heart is always reconciliation. God’s desire is to bring mankind back into relationship with Himself. His heart is to take people’s mess and make something beautiful again. God can, and always desires to, forgive the worst of sinners. When great men and women of God fall, God’s heart is full reconciliation. When the worst of sinners falls deeper into a life of sin, God’s heart is salvation and reconciliation.

Do we share God’s heart? Could our attitudes and responses make a difference in the life of one who has made mistakes? Would we want to be treated the same way we treat others who fall?

Today let’s be dispensers of God’s grace, love and forgiveness and let’s allow room for God’s desires
