#4621 – Unanswered Prayers

Good morning people who trust in God’s sovereignty while we are waiting

Hebrews 11:13-16 NIV All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

For some, there is a much needed shift coming today.

Meditate on these words: ‘They did not receive the things promised.’

Your faith is not pleasing to God based on results. Think about this.

Faith is supernatural. Prayer is supernatural. God is supernatural. Answers to prayers are supernatural. God is the One who gives us the measure of faith, and God is the One who supernaturally answers prayers.

So, if you are still waiting, God is still working, and it is your faith in Him that pleases Him, not the outcome that He alone supernaturally achieves.

Our view of time and eternity, and our view of home and journeying, both make a huge difference to our faith journey.

Let’s go deeper in this tomorrow.
