Good morning people who give your best as a living sacrifice

Hebrews 11:4 NIV By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

This is interesting.

Our righteousness comes from God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

In him we become righteous. Not in ourselves or from ourselves.

Yet Abel was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offering; what he brought to God.

The scriptures are full of paradox. I have often said, “With God, it’s not either / or, it is both / and.” In the two scriptures above, we see a clear paradox of truth.

We are righteous in Christ, and we are righteous when we bring our best to God as a living sacrifice.

God has given His best. It’s time for us to give our best.
