#4580 – Looking at God

Good morning people who see and look at the Word of Life

1 John 1:1 NIV That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.

There is a difference between seeing something and looking at something.

You can see something with only a brief glance, but it takes intentionality and time to look at something.

Some people walk past and briefly see a beautiful piece of art, while others stand for long periods of time and look at that same masterpiece.

Some people walk past and briefly see a colourful bird in a tree, while others sit and birdwatch for hours at a time.

Some people catch a glimpse of Jesus as they rush about their business and get caught up in the busyness of the day, while others look at Jesus and behold His beauty throughout the day, regardless of the task they find themselves doing.

There is an invitation from the One who loves you more than you could imagine, and this invitation is to sit with Him, to gaze upon Him, and to be captivated by His beauty, His wonder and His majesty.
