Good morning people who live in the freedom of God’s commands

Genesis 2:16 NIV And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden.”

Years ago, God spoke this statement to me: Give me boundaries = give me freedom.

Many people think that they want complete autonomy; the ability to make all your own choices and to do whatever you want, when you want to do it.

The problem with this is that people do not truly know what’s best for them. We make decisions based on emotions and feelings and carnal desires. This cannot end well, nor does it.

When we understand that the nature of God is unchanging in His perfect love and His commitment to our best, we can more easily trust and accept the commands of God as statements of love, not law.

I encourage you to read the sentence above again.

Don’t fight the instructions of God that are given to protect you from what you don’t want.

Don’t look through the world’s lens of control and manipulation and skepticism when it comes to God’s motivation.

Don’t let the enemy rob you of God’s best because it comes packaged in a command from God.
