#4024 – Revealing Hearts

Good morning people who understand why God asks us questions

John 6:5-6 NIV When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” He asked this only to test him, for He already had in mind what He was going to do.

I love scriptures that are so clear.

Jesus asked Philip a question, not to gain information or discover something He didn’t know, but to reveal what was in Philip’s heart.

Jesus did this many times, with many people.

Jesus still does it today.

It’s interesting to know that the enemy often ask questions to trip people up and to get people to sin. He knows the power of asking questions.

But when God asks us questions, there is no need to fear. He is always good and He is always working things together for our good. So even if a question from God reveals something in our heart that is not right, even this is for the purpose of leading us forward into greater freedom and life!

So be honest with God – He knows the truth anyway.
