#39 – Personal Check-up

Good morning wonderful people

This morning I am off to the doctors because I haven’t felt well this week. It’s nothing major but I would be wise to see if it is an infection that needs antibiotics. It made me think about each of our lives. Often we rush from one thing to the next without stopping for a check up. Maybe today that’s the best thing you can do. STOP and consider the following questions.

1. How’s your spiritual health? Are you listening to God during your day? Are you talking to Him? Are you meditating on His Word? Are you obeying what He has said in His word and through the Holy Spirit?

2. How’s your emotional health? Are you taking time out? Are you doing something you enjoy or does that constantly get put on the ‘one day’ list? Are you dealing with pain and hurt in a constructive way?

3. How’s your relational health? Are you giving to others selflessly? Are you encouraging or criticising? Do you believe the best of others? Are you actively looking at ways to strengthen all your relationships?

4. How’s your physical health? Are you eating right? Are you exercising? Are you going to bed at a reasonable hour?

Why don’t we all have a read through this list today (maybe several times), honestly asses how we are going and then make adjustments where necessary. If you don’t have time to do this in the next little while maybe that’s an indication that some adjustments are needed. We have a long race to run in this awesome life and we can choose to do it in a healthy way or in an unhealthy way.
