Good morning people who keep on learning the things of God

Proverbs 1:5 NIV Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.

This is very interesting.

Naturally speaking, we would say that the foolish need to listen and the simple need to get guidance (or words to that affect). And indeed this is true.

But there is a clear exhortation:

Wise people keep on learning and intentionally growing.

I see two things here that should be present in all of our lives:

Firstly, learning comes from listening.

Secondly, listening, learning and getting guidance comes from humility.

Listening to God and humility before God are the greatest parts of increasing in wisdom and discernment.

“Are you listening to God and walking humbly before Him?”
