#3890 – Through Valleys

According to Matthew 16:21-23:

A good thing is not a good thing if it is not what God has authored.

Peter was rebuked for standing in opposition to what Jesus has said, even though his intention was to make life easier for Jesus.

I feel we need to be careful that we don’t do this in other people’s lives.

Father may be ‘leading people through a valley of the shadow of death’ (please listen to my wording), and with good intention, we might rebuke the valley.

There are times when it might be right to rebuke a dark valley, but a dark valley also might be authored by Father to bring the person closer to Him and discover Him through the valley.

It reminds me of the following scripture:

James 1:2-4 NIV Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, BECAUSE you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Don’t rebuke in other people’s lives what Father is using to bring people closer to Himself and to produce the maturity that we are praying for.

I want to speak the words of God and have the mind of God. I don’t want to stand in the way of His intention through my good intentions.
