Good morning people who extend to others what we have received from God

Matthew 6:12 NIV And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Praying people forgive others.

Therefore, prayer is a posture of extending to others what our Omniscient Father has extended to us.

Jesus is talking about forgiveness in this verse above where He is teaching us how we should pray. It is about forgiveness.

But I believe the principle applies to many other things that we have received from our wonderful Father Who is in heaven.

We have received grace – we need to pass on grace to others.

We have received kindness – we need to pass on kindness to others.

We have received hope – we need to pass on hope to others.

As Jesus says in Matthew 10:8, “Freely you have received, freely give.”

As we have received, so are we to pass it on to others.

And praying people know this is not always easy. That’s why we ask God to help us and why we rely upon and lean into His strength.

“Have you received from God?”
