Good morning people who love to lift God up as you pray to your Father
Matthew 6:9 NIV This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”
Yesterday I said: Prayer has a primary focus on God, not on answers.
Today I feel to say: The most powerful prayers are worship-filled in nature.
It’s easy (and common) to constantly approach God from a starting position of complaint. Problems surround us, challenges overwhelm, difficulties confront us, enemies attack us.
God cares about us and He cares deeply for what we are going through. He welcomes us to bring our requests and our fears to Him.
But Jesus is also making it clear in this instructional prayer that the best starting position when talking to our Father in heaven is worship; hallowed be Your name.
When problems surround us, God is greater! When challenges overwhelm us, God is greater! When difficulties confront us, God is greater! When enemies attack us, God is greater!
God is greater, and He is worthy of our praise, worship and adoration always! Yes, even when we start to pray.
Worship first. Requests come later.
