Good morning people who know what is wrong as God declares it to be

1 Corinthians 13:6 NIV LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

In the truest definition of the word ‘evil’ (as it is used here), it simply means: ‘wrong in the eyes of God’. It’s not about what is wrong ‘in our eyes’, but in ‘God’s eyes’.

All sin is evil. All evil is wrong in the eyes of God. All evil separates people from God. This is the truth.

Yet all evil can also be forgiven, and death can be replaced with Life! Hallelujah! (This is also the truth).

But evil is evil and replacing the word doesn’t remove the stain.

Here’s Jesus’ words to people in one of His sermons:

Matthew 7:11 NIV If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!

Now for the part that too many are getting tripped up on today in the Church:

God alone determines what is evil and what is good; what is truth and what is heresy; what is unacceptable to Him and what is acceptable to Him – we don’t!

May we get back to ‘Biblical correctness’, not ‘political correctness’.
