Good morning people who reach out to God even in difficult and dark places

Jonah 2:1 NIV From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God.

Personally, I have never been inside a fish. My assumption is that you haven’t either. But we have all been in difficult and dark places.

I feel a simple yet strong encouragement for us all today, and that is:

You can pray to God wherever you are, regardless of the circumstances that got you there.

I fear some people don’t feel worthy or right about talking to God because they got themselves into a certain predicament. If this was true, Jonah possibly topped the list.

But let me expose the lie: That thought does not come from God – it comes from the enemy who wants to keep you distant from God.

Distance from God is not physical – it’s positional. Remember, Jonah was inside a fish. If anyone was physically in a place that would prohibit them from talking to God, I reckon this was it. But thankfully Jonah knew that God was everywhere, and despite his rebellion, he knew God was there with him and that he could talk to God.

I pray you have this same revelation today.
